Why be afraid of bed bugs? Just eat them. Excellent on hand midnight snacks.
Ants are edible. Red are like pine, black are like lemon. There are such things as chocolate cover ants if you don't like the original flavor.
Don't complain if there is a fly in your soup, it won't drink much.
Flies can also be a tasty addition to other foods, such as Hobo dinners.
Who needs a churro, when fried grasshoppers are offered instead at State Fairs.

Tee hee... I like your blog. :D Flies just add more protein!
You should read an article I had to for my Utah History class. It's called One Man's Meat is Another Man's Poison by Madsen and Madsen. Basically these guys say (somewhat tongue in cheek) that the pioneers reacted the wrong way when the crickets began swarming their crops. The should have just started harvesting the crickets. After all, they have a much higher calorie yield for the amount of energy it takes to harvest than wheat.
"There was an old lady who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed a fly,
Perhaps she'll diiiiiiiiieeee."
